RE: THE LOUNGE 2
the BEST way to remove the tyres from your wheels.
step 1 - have some old knackered tyres on nice rims
step 2 - get a big container with a lid, like a tuppaware box
step 3 - send your missus' out
step 4 - steal her nail varnish remover
step 5 - put the rims in the container
step 6 - pour some nail varnish remover in the bottom of the container - THE WHEELS DO NOT HAVE TO BE SUBMERGED - THE FUMES DO IT)
step 7 - seal the container
step 8 - leave for a few days, or a few weeks to do a good job
step 9 - take them out of the container
step 10 - rinse them off with water
step 11 - remove the tyres
step 12 - have a nice cold beer and order some new tyres.
This method keeps the wheels, tyres and inserts in A1 condition.

After painting the inside of a body with Tamiya's Polycarbonate paint, what is the best way to protect it? (Self-Queen not an option)

Tamiya reinforced tape, wheel wells, areas that might rub and weak spots.

It's the backing paint. Protects the paintjob from damage. It's less crucial on electrics since there's no fuel and fumes to deal with. Nitro bodies are usually backed by a glaze sealant.

On my TLT the paint is starting to chip off here and there, so I figure since I am spending a little more time with the prep work, I might as well find a way to protect the finished product.

Stuff like this will be fine. It also hides decal edges as a bonus.
