Default Parkzone Warbirds

I have the Parkzone Spitfire and the Focke Wulf and i hate the fact that it's a belly lander[sm=angry_smile.gif]

I'm looking to put on some landing gear and i was wondering if anyone attempted this already.

If not, does anyone know of any landing that may fit this purpose?

Thanks

Well I haven't tried this, in fact I don't own any parkzone warbirds (I have a typhoon 3D),but I think the easiest way to add wheels is to buy a spare typhoon landing gear and cut a slit for it on the foward fusulage. Don't make the slit too wide though. Hope this helps.

No...the typhoon wheels are too small for the warbirds.... I can use the back wheel from the typhoon for the back wheel of the warbirds but i need something larger for the front wheels. Also they should mount on the wings like the Parkzone t-28 Trojan......[X(] Wait a minute.... that landing gear would probably fit!

Thanks for the idea..

I have seen that on PZ warbirds, jusr reinforce the area with some balsa so they don't get ripped out easily.
And I take it you fly off of pavement, because adding landing gear on PZ warbirds will not go very well on grass...

hi guys, Thanks for all the info however i was just at another one of my other posts ( cutting ailerons ) and some guy said i should put retracts on.

I don't know how much weight those will put on.

Sound like a great idea though.

If you really want to dump in the money for the gear and what not, then I guess go head. But those are the guys who have a lot of building experience and just like to experiment with these warbirds.

I do not know how much experience you have, but if you have a good amount of building and flying experience, then its all up to you. But I would just stick to regular landing gear.

Yeah.... I think i will stick to regular landing gear. I just received Parkzones T-28 landing gear (wheels and rods ) i am trying to decide how to install it as not to have them rip out after every landing. I was thinking of buying some light ply and gluing it on the wing and then screwing the landing gear down.

Any other suggestions ( if you have already added landing gear to your warbird please show pics )

Thanks
