I'm still trying to decide what to do with mine. I'm thinking of either a Patriot kit or some little electric plane. I don't need either, I've already got too many other projects, but this just seems too good to miss. I may even try it twice, my wife has an account from last Father's day when she bought me a gift certificate. Hmmm, that means I can get the Patriot AND an electric plane

They only yet you use the free shipping option if they sent you that ad. I tried and it didnt work. I guess they realize they dont have to tempt me with any great discounts bc I spend a ton of money with them with or without discounts[:@]

I didn't try the free shipping one, but the $20 off a $50 order seems to be ok for me. I haven't actually submitted the order yet, but I went far enough through the order panels to confirm it made it past the normal place where an invalid special is rejected.

Thinking of buying a Tower Uproar? Go to Tower's site and search on this product code LWA250. I'm not sure where I found this, or if you have to be a club member to take advantage of it, but it's a good deal, especially if you can get it with the $20 off a $50 order. Enjoy.

should i feel guilty for make new email addresses so i can keep using the $20 off a $50 order? [sm=greedy.gif] i haven't yet, but it is awefully tempting. I have used the code three times...i think i'm gonna be getting a lot of tower catalogs in the near future

If Tower notices such a pattern they are likely to put measures in place to stop it, or stop making such codes available. Part of me says a little restraint is in order. The other part says get while the getting is good.

I found a bug in the shopping cart... I ordered all parts that were parts express eligible and it showed the shipping would be 6.99 Priority mail. When I went to check out and put in my member number the shipping went up to 29.99. I called tower and spent about 1/2 hour on the phone with them trying to figure this one out.... In the end they just gave me a refund on the shipping.... They said they had never seen this before but while on the phone they made several mock orders and everytime they would put in the member codes the shipping would jump up.... I told them it did not make good sense to PAY to become a member only to be charged MORE than a non-member... This was three weeks ago and I dont know if the cart is fixed yet or not, but it is something to keep in mind on your next order..

I think they are now checking to see if any 20/50 offer has been used in the past from the either the shipping address and/or email address you specify in the order. If one has, they deny the discount.
