Thanks Don! It's always nice that you are there to help!![Big Grin](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I couldn't believe the quality for the price, especially considering what a kit costs nowadays. All hand-laid wood on it plus sealed to a nice shine. If I get lucky, they'll have them there next year.
My son was figuring that he could rip all of the electronics out of his truck to finish it.

I see several visits in my future to the ER, me to get the shoes out of my rear and you guys to get your shoes back!
My kid isn't into scale boats and he was giving me a hard time about not getting it and he wears size 13's!
I still can't believe that they went for only a C-note.
I saw the same boat later on in the RCU Marketplace for $250.00 and he probably got it.
Here's the one that I should have bought:

How well are the Equipage boats built? Is the hull thick and sturdy or flimsy and soft like balsa?. Any gaps in the joints and cheep assembly or is it a good built?
The size is nice (bigger is better, like planes). What brushless motor I can put in it instead of the recomended 700 speed, can type?
Looking at the Equipage Monaco100 or the Venice90 boats. Please put your input since I'm just learning about boats.
Thanks.

Well, I don't want to give you advice that you will be unhappy about later. But to answer your questions, I think the boat is made fairly well and built fairly strong. There are no major gaps around the hatches. But even still, they recommend using hatch tape to keep water out when running. The wood is not balsa. I do not know what type it is, but certainly not balsa. This is a 'heavy' boat! I do not know brushless, so can't answer that for you.
