new lhs/track
just found out the other day that a new hobby store is coming to my town. havent had one here for like 15 years. until now, the closest one is 40 minutes away and they have no track. this new one has a 7500sq ft building in the back thats going to have multiple tracks as well as a mini track and a crawler course. then outside there is going to be a 1/5 track. this is something i have dreamed of since i bought my first rc car (my t4) from this guy about 5 years ago. i have never had the opportunity to do any racing and im pretty excited about it. hes just getting started but already has his own online store. tracks probably will be another 2-3 weeks and racing will probably start around march. my girlfriend is also starting to take an interest

Congratulations and good luck.
Have you shown the owner your interest in what he's doing? Maybe offer some help in your off-time...[&:]
Makes it more fun for me to lend a hand when I can.

That's pretty awesome that your girlfriend is into it. Now going to the track won't be a hassle. And that sounds pretty cool, I've been starting to kinda want to go to a track. There is a track around here, but they only do 1/10 scale.

the awesome part is that the track is probably 1/2 mile from my house at the most

Just make sure you buy your parts from him... Although I end up paying probably 10-20% more than online, I always buy parts at the tracks I run at for hopes that the track will be there the NEXT time I want to run.
Those guys always need volunteers for setup and for running the first few racedays. Good time to get involved. I love indoor crawling tracks.

the store is still in its very early stages but he does have support from redcat racing and hpi i believe. in the future i may consider a 1/5 from him to race on the 1/5 track. for starters im gonna stick with the t4 and sc10. ill post up more as it starts to develop
