Eh I would go with the 1/18th losi crawler..
the losi mini is a fair bit more $$$ than that exceed.
but i would agree that a 1/18 makes more sence for indoors used.

i have one of these rctrax mini QLO crawlers coming. they are a tad smaller than the losi mini, but are on ebay right now for $120 shipped with a pair of 2s 600mah lipos!!! just add a radio to run.
there are a ton of youtube vids of them. lots of people find a cool "toy grade" plastic body to mount on them. they seem just as capable as the losi.
there are also a fair amount of hop-ups for them on ebay. you can even get a dig unit.
the only sucky part is they ship from hong kong. figure 2-3 weeks[:'(]

i figured for the price the mini QLO is worth a shot. the losi's are certainly nice tho. i was gonna get one till i found the miniQLO
but i wont know till it arrives how good it is. but the youtube vids i saw had lots of good comments on them.

there is a full review of it here: http://redirectingat.com/?id=42X1295...k-crawler.html

the only thing i dont like from the description is that the tires are not true beadlocks.
but i like the worm gear setup.

for $160 they now have a MOA version with electronic dig!!! i almost went for that one. but it doesnt come with a battery or a radio.
the one i got comes with a pair of lipos, totalling an hours worth of runtime!

Nothing wrong with having a 1/8 crawler used in the house. You actually can go over more things easier

I drive my AX10 inside the house a lot, sure I wish it were smaller so it could have more room to play but then again its all a trade off. If you want to be able to climb the big stuff, you need a bigger car and so on.

Those chinese cars look interesting but I hate the waiting time on shipping from China [&:]

I was thinking of getting a 1/18 crawler, probaly a Losi, but my brother bought me a 1/10 Night Crawler. I'm gladI got the larger size one. It's slow enough that the size isn't an issue like it woud be for a car truck or buggy indoors. Plus it's fun to make obstacles from stuff around the house.
I can't wait until we get some good weather and I can take it outdoors. This is my 1st crawler so I can't say how others compare, but it goes where I don't expect it to, and nothing has broken on it yet.
