Default VXL Fan?

Will one of these fans work as an alternative to the expensive Traxxas one? 1)www.hobbypartz.com/fanfor1rccar.html 2)www.hobbypartz.com/252510mmfan72g.html

Most likely. You can use any computer fan that's the right size.

You shouldn't need one unless your way undergeared or putting in more voltage than the ESC can handle. Anything that's the right size and has the same connector that is female, it should work. I got the Traxxas fan, and never needed it. I think getting a fan is just wasting money. And also just a little bit of dirt ended up destroying it, so, I just tossed it.

fans are just bling in my opinion, the ESC should never be to hot anyway.

i cut a hole in the body where the esc is, or i cut out the back window for circulation.

I used a lil 40mm pc fan and cut the wires to connect and taped up i put it behind the heatsink so it oulls out
On 8cell packs my esc used to heat up after 20min constant speed runs..
