Hmm last year I went it was ok but it wasn't as good as the year before. I did though get in for free from my hobby shop and I got a free T-shirt from Panther RC for helping with their display so what can I say. I mean you never know till you go but its a pretty big event regardless. If anything seeing the stuff for real is fun

I think it's geared more for people not yet into the hobby. It's ok, you get a small taste of everything.
It would be worth the trip if you stopped by a few tracks and hobby shops while you're here/there.
The Cactus Classic race is the same weekend in Arizona, so most of the Pros will probably be out of town, but...
Round 6 of the TeamLosiRacing Winter Series is on Sunday at OC/RC Raceway (indoor 1/10 electric)
Round 3 of the Grass Roots Racing Series is on Saturday at Hemet RC Raceway (1/8 nitro)
2 weeks later - ROAR 1/8 Nationals warm-up race at Thunder Alley. This track is on the way to Hemet, and worth seeing in person.
Also nearby RCX:
Pegasus Hobbies - Largest hobby shop I've ever seen. I challenge you to find a part they don't have. (1/10 electric)
Revelation Raceway - One of the largest 1/8 tracks in SoCal
Milestone MX Park (1/8 and 1/5)
West Coast RC (1/10)
The list goes on...
