what is the difference in the performance have to do with the shape and size of a cooling head
which would cool better? a nova rossi .12 or a RB v12 .12 engines. i see the more rounded ones for off-road and the ones with cuts for on-road why?

The heat is displaced throughout all of the fins. The fins allow air to pass evenly around each fin and since the fins are thin, it can cool down quicker. You can relate the heat sink head to a car radiator. A radiator has thin hollow fins that pass the hot coolant through them. The cool air passes across them cooling the coolant down. The head also allows the heat to be transfered to it to allow the cooling process. The more fins, the better cooling the head can give because it can displace more heat throughout each fin causing each fin to be at a lower temp. Then add the cool air passing by and it will lower the temps even more. The cut-out and round heads are just for looks but the round heads do provide alittle extra cooling. Off-road engines generally are run harder so the engine creates more heat. The round head can give the most effective cooling.
