Look for the following; check the heat sink and shim that fits between the block and heat sink, exhaust port or were the exhaust connects to the motor gasket could be shot, carb. to manifold fit ,is it tight and do you have a good seal in that area? RED

All that seems ok, it cant be nothing serious as the car runs fine and if there was air leaks the car would not run correctly am i right in saying this RED

You are correct, could be a minor leak in the hose, hard to say with out taking a closer look at it, I would just watch it closely to make sure that it does not turn in to a big problem, RED

when the engine floods, the excess gas leaks out of the cooling head right? so maybe the fuel mixture is too rich. but i many be wrong

I always end up with a mess in that area if the glo plug is loose or the plug seal is shot or missing.
