Can you give some specifics such as size, weight, drivetrain, type of car, reason you want to use an airplane engine, etc?

hey. ok heres the thing
my father has been flying for 15 years now and he has at least 20 engines sitting in the basement. and my uncle works at an aluminum mill. so i was going to pay him to make me the parts and stuff. now that i think about it. i might want to make something like a stadium truck or monster truck but customize it so its a street vehicle. like lower suspension street slicks. someething along that line. 2 wheel drive. i have a GT tranny so i might use that too. if that helps.. reply. and if u need anything else. just ask.

If you're getting a chassis cut, you don't have a big issue with the length of the engine. My flying experience is only with .40 size engines. Can you tell me if the threaded end of the cranks are the same? If so, I'll dig around in my play room and see if I can get a good flywheel / clutchbell / spur combo to work with one of my plane engines and a GT tranny.

Because you are looking at a plane engine with a small cooling head, I'd go with the motto "bigger is better". That way you can get more power and torque than you know what to do with while running rich and not working the motor.
