Default Can't get my TL01 to work

do the Radio and the Receiver have to have the same brand to work? this may be a stupid (?) but I just got a Tamiya TL01 from a trade and the radio (PYTHON) won't work...i noticed that the receiver is the AIRTRONICS one and the servo. would that be the reason why? :stupid: what do i need to change now? I was told i just needed the crystals :disappoin

Default Radio

Some brands are compatible with others, I have read about this before but don't remember enough about it to give you the facts.

The crystals do need to be on the same channel and you can identify your situation by removing the crystal from the radio and rcvr to verify what frequency they are on. You may not even have to remove them if they are visible.
If you need a crystal set you can click over to Towerhobbies.com and order a set, I think like $30 for a set or something like that, been a while since I bought a set.

I would suggest that you investigate the compatibility issue prior to buying a set of crystals to ensure what you have will work. In some cases the equipment could work but may not be safe.

I suggest that you hop over to the radio forum here on universe and ask your questions there.
You will find all the answers you need.
A search on that forum may yield what you need.

Good luck
