Adding oil
I want to add some castor/synthetic oil to some fuel I have to help with engine temps.
Where can I buy the oil?
I found a website that tells you how much to add.
http://www.nitrorc.com/default2.asp?...rc.com/fuelws/
Can I just pour the amount in and shake it up to blend it in?
Thanks for any help.

RE: Adding oil
Nitro and Methanol are the ones that cool your engine, oil only lowers temperature a very little bit as it lowers friction (as long as you have some already in there).
You might want to check your engine isn't too lean.

RE: Adding oil
Actually too much oil will make it run hotter. Oil burns at a much hotter rate than the nitro. If you have temp problems you need to figure it out and not cover it up. You should not need any more than 12% oil in your fuel. Anymore is just useless. What temps are you running and what engine is it?

RE: Adding oil
Anyone able to answer my question as to where I can buy synthetic oil to add to fuel at please?
The engines tunes have been adjusted and are still running hotter then I want, this fuel is 9% lubricate, I want to take it up to around 12%

RE: Adding oil
Check a local hobby shop and they should have the oils you need. Barring that, you should be able to Google the type of oil you want and hundreds of places that sell it show up.
