Pops tried to get into flying around the early 90s when i was around 10, but always said "I cant fly it why would i let you try" well the seed was planted and once i was older in my mid twenties with my own income I wwandered into the LHS. Left that day with realflight g4 and a hobbyzone supercub. Pulled the cub out of a tree that day but didnt give up. Three years later and hundreds of hours on the simulator and Im a proficient 3D flyer (fixed and rotary) Last year I packed up all that i could into my car and pinned it to Colorado, left my snowboard(got it later) but brought my supercub LOL. One day my buddy says "HEY a new hobby shop just opened! I was pumped and went in to check it out. Owner took me into this room where he had G5 set up on a projector, I played dumb and let him show me how it worked(he crashed alot LOL) then when he handed me the sticks i proceeded to lay the SMACK down Owner called me the next day and asked if I would join his airiel photo team and pilot his Bergen, I accepted then pretty much took over operations of the hobbyshop as well since i was somewhat knowledgable. That was a year ago and now Im into cars heavy and barely fly anymore exept for commercial shoots.
Good times
