Default Minimum volts need on radio

On my radio ,its shows how many volts remains in the battery, but how many volts minimum is correct before change. Now i put new batteries and 12.6 is the number on my lcd screen.I begin had interference at 9.3 with the old batteries.Maybe a more expensive radio or even a FM keep the signal longer with powerless batteries.

Default RE: Minimum volts need on radio

You should not get interference until you are below 9 volts. All computer radio's I know of have an alarm that goes off at that point as well. With rechargeable batteries, once the peak wears off, you are at 9.6 volts anyway and I have ran rechargeables for years in Hitec, JR, and Futaba radio's with no ill effects.
