Default Newb drifter, Which kit?>!!!

I just got into this hobby from a friend and he drifts a pro4 with some of our other buddies. Now he wants me to drift with them and I don't know which kit to get.
I'm looking at the hot bodies cyclone kit since it's basically a pro4 and it's awesome (his). If not the cyclone, any of the TRF tamiya kits look just a good.

Help! Which kit to get?

If Your Just getting ionto the Hobby, the Pro 4 would be a Good Start.

Try and get a kit similiar to your friends so when you Break Parts, at least someone will have spares.

If You all got the same Chassis, you could start your own drift team...

sure the tt01 is excellent. But the people he hangs with has hpi pro4's, am I correct. I would go the pro 4 route. According to what I read, its an excellent chassis. And Like we all say"Basically....any 4wd will drift"

why is the tt01 "excellent"
I think it's a POS.

And If I am correct, he said has "a" friend who has a pro4, not all of his friends.

Dude, why are you hyping up your "flaming" of other members? If anyone, you should put YOUR flamsesuit on since you never give educated advice. You always jump on the advice bandwagon and agree with everything.

Why would I want to get flamed?

And yes GraTou, one of my friends has a pro4, the others have a mix of TC3's and TC4's and a couple of tamiya ones. Some kind of TT, I don't know.

Plus Spartan-Drifter, everyone of my friends and their buddies also say that TT01's are "dumb" and "overrated". Hence why I am staying away from that chassis. So you are correct GraTou, they are "POS"

But I still don't know which chassis is good. Maybe a TC3? Seems inexpensive and my hobby shop stocks a lot of parts for the TC3's.

You should get a Tamiya TRF 415MSX Mark Reinhard Edition. Or an Alex Racing Barracuda. Hell, even a Tech Racing MY02 would be good.

Then there are the following cars that are great for drifting...

Hot Bodies Cyclone
Yokomo MR-4TC BD Masami Special
Yokomo MR-4TC SD LCG
Team Xray T2'007
Team Losi JRX-S Type-R
BMI Schumacher Mi2
BMI TC4

Right on brother

Personally if you are just starting out I would just buy what is affordable to your budget! No need to splash out on the best chassis when most chassis will drift with the right set up!! If after 3 months you are still interested maybe go for something a bit more upmarket!!

NVM this whole flamin *****. Nvm this whole TT01 ***** too. Ive been tellin everyone(all the noobs) If want somethin besides what we recommend, its your money. I would love to see the pro 4 when she is finished. Pro4 is a hell of a good chassis. Take this from someone who owns a tt01, Ive tried them, and theyre not the best. So Im ready to move on to somethin else. Im thinkin of a ta04

Magnat
youve known me since I was a noob, and youve seen how I get rowdy at times about ***** like this. that was the old me.

Whats wrong with n00b toyz...everyone has to start somewhere and the great thing about drift is you don't have to spend a packet to enjoy yourself!! Sure as you improve there are better chassis available but as a n00b...the TT01 is an affordbale start (unless you find a Pro 4 at a good price)

Team Losi XXX-S, TC3 or 4 , or hot bodies cyclone S
good starter chassis, and you can upgrade the hell out of them and they'll be just as good as the pro4's, etc.

good luck dude!
come up to baltimore and drift, since I see you're in OC.
