OK, so I'm thinking about investing in a Traxxas Slash as my first step into RC Cars.

I see that it's possible to upgrade from the entry level 5802
to the 5805 adding power cell and charger
to the 5803 adding 2.4GHz radio system
to the 5807 adding brushless motor

Is it possible to continue the upgrade path all the way up to the SLASH 4x4 Ultimate?

I want to invest in something that can be upgraded as I get better and devote more time and money to the hobby.

EDIT: I found the answer to my question on Wikipedia..."Contrary to its name, the Slash 4WD has almost no parts commonality with the Slash 2WD.

Not cheap. But that'll turn a Slash into a tank.

RC4WD recommends brushless power for it, it does weigh more.

U can still upgrade a slash 2wd, here is a stock one compared to mine
