New to 4 wheels
Long time FPV racer here. Looking for a good starter option.
I have always wanted a cool 1/10 truck. I am thinking for a starter going with one of the 1/10 Traxxas Slash brushless 4x4 electric rigs. I enjoy performance big time but I also enjoy tinkering? Is this a bad call? Or is this a solid choice for a newb to R/C trucks (I build my own FPV racing drones so although it is a new platform I should be able to dive in without too much issue) I know for sure i want a brushless setup and 4x4 because i do want to use it in the dirt and at the camp (rough stone road)

I would've recommended the Arram Granite but it's it doesn't have a lot of tinkering options. It's more of an out of the box, ready to go sorta thing with good components, excellent durability and parts availability if you happen to need it. Being an American company helps too. Sorry, no other suggestions. I'm more of a budget small RC kinda guy. I do want a Granite eventually.
If you get tempted with ZD Racing because of the price tag, just know that the original Thunder has had a history of differential problems.
