Default Corally Triton

Hey all, I'm new here and newer into the R/C world. A buddy and myself both picked up some Corally Tritons. He got the Brushless I got the Brushed version. Those are the only two they had in stock so thats what we got. His is obviously way faster than mine. I'd like to upgrade to Brushless to at least keep up with his. I don't need it to be a 100+mph truck but id like it to be able to be as fast as his is any recomendations are welcome. I do not need a vey expensive set up a cheap beginner one will do for me.. I like these trucks they are fun. Mine has been solid for the few times I've taken out but his as just broke everytime. Which gets me on my second question? has anyone seen upgraded metal components for steering and all on these? all I have found is basic replacement parts.

The steering setup of the Triton looks to be a simple design. A servo with a servo saver, and some turnbuckles connected to the steering blocks. There are aftermarket HD servo savers out there that, I would think, would potentially offer more resistance. I almost went out and bought Team Corally's Kronos, but re-evaluated my wants and needs, and went with their competitor's platform. I see the Corally brand making a huge presence in the coming year. There is a Team Corally Bashers FB group with a great bunch of dudes in it that could better help you with modifying your RC.
