2.5 should be 2.5... and just keep your receipt in case they happen to be the wrong size.
Another idea - pull the hinge pin out and take with you to make sure that the clip you find fits it.

Your hardware store will have them for about 10 for a dollar!
And by the way, I LOVE e-clips! All you need are curved needle-nose pliers and you can get 'em in or out of anywhere!

I just use needle nose pleirs and shove them on. To take them off I use a tiny flatbladed screwdriver, it works great but sometimes one goes flying and gets lost.

There harder than they have to be. The screws just screw on and off... they never pop off when runnin'

Cant make heads or tails of that diagram, but I know exactly what 45's talking about, the hinge pins hes talking about are like a hingepin, but with a screw head on one end and a small threaded area right next to it, I have them on my rad2.

he is trying to show that the head of a small screw overlaps the part where the hinge pin goes inot the a-arm. when you put a small screw really close to teh hinge pin the head of the screw blocks the hinge pin in. that probably made absolutely no sense but oh well.
