You generally won't have much trouble, as long as your driving skills are up to par, and the car/truck is warm to start with. If it's been outside all day and all the plastic is -10 degrees, it'll break a lot easier. If it's 70 degrees from sitting inside, during the course of a battery pack you shouldn't get things cold enough to start getting brittle.

Yeah, Thats why we think it was a manufacturing defect. The peice just snapped in two.It was only about 35-40 degrees(around the temp plastic gets brittle) but it had been under my tree(right by the radiater) for all night. I just orderd a new Graphite part, maybe itll hold up better, if not im going aluminum. Its supposed to be 50-60 this week so ill be out all week cause i dont have school this week.

That's a common part to break. You might consider getting an aluminum one, and it won't happen again. The front bulkhead also likes to break - you can get a front hingepin brace made of aluminum and put a stop to that too.

I have two evaders and don't run them below 45 d farenheit or so since the parts get brittle. I also have a losi xxxt and haven't tried it in the cold.

For the electric evader the only gears you can get in metal are the spur and the idler. Youll have to find a spur from robsinon racing (or a simular aftermarket company) but for the idler gear you can get the one for the nitro evader. If it was the idler gear that strippe, then yes go ahead and get the metal one. If it was the spur you probobly just either had the slipper to tight or the mesh too loose (if that was the case, just get another plastic one and make sure you get it all adjusted right)

And given a choice, you'll definitely want to be replacing spurs instead of idlers!

evaders.... anyway you have to take the wheel off and pull out the hinge pin usually attached with 2 E clips and it should come off

*note to self, do not buy an evader as they break easily judging by this guys luck* I would buy all metal gears so you dont have to worry about any more problems with them.

First off i cant drive like sh*t. But Is there anyway you can take the heatsink off a esc without having to desolder it? i hate [:'(]soldering[:'(] stuff. Im gonna try and fix this esc before i send it in but i need to remove the heatsink first

STOP!!! If you take it apart they will most likely know and that will void your warrenty. So then you will be paying for a new esc[]
Sorry about your luck

DANG. U must be a bad driver. All those parts breaking, all well i bent one of my arms on my stadium truck, so i just bent it back and am waiting for it to break. I also stripped a spur when i hit the peak of the tansition for my jump. All well fixing things is fun.

For novak is usualy a week to a week in a half, I have no idea what kind of esc you have but thats what I would guess, a week to 2 weeks.
