Default LRP V 7.1 Digital Speed Control Settings

I was acting like a fool and started pressing and holding the set up button quite a few times. Does anyone know of a site other than LRP (site wasn't any help) that can help me with instructions?

Yeah it did like 2 yrs ago, it's since been lost in the move.

I might register on the LRP forum and try that route. I doubt any shops will be open today.

Okay, I got the throttle to respond by running through the steps, i ran it all the way up to full throttle and back down, let off, and went for more throttle and nothing !!!!!!! would you rule it as a speed control??? or motor? Everything is hardwired except for the batteries which are Deans plugs. my car is all wheel drive.

So I turned both back wheels manually one gear click, and tried the throttle and it worked. I ran it all the way up again, back down, and let off, and it died yet again.

...thats weird...

Do you have another esc, that you could run the motor on. That way you could rule out the motor being a problem.

No, it was the only esc i bought. Is the V7.1 still a decent speed control? I bought all of this stuff 2yrs ago, and I know how things can change overnight.

Its still a decent esc, its made by LRP arguably the best esc company out there. Is the motor just unresponsive, dose the esc light up as if its trying to get the motor going but the motor just doesnt go, or does the esc just not light up/work.

Yeah Wes, exactly, the motor is unresponsive, but the speed control LED's are lighting up. I think it may be a bad Trinity P2k2 Pro Motor.

Theres your problem. Your going to probably need to get some new brushes and a good comm cut. This in total should cost about 10$ maby more. Your local hobby shop should do comm cuts. On monday you might call um' up and ask before you go to them for nothing. They will also (most likely) sell the brushes you need. If they dont then tower will sell them.
-Wes

EDIT: now trinnity makes long life brushes you might want to check into those

to find out if its the motor, unsolder the motor from the speedo, and touch the the pos and neg terminals on the motor with the matching terminals on a battery. the motor should run happily,. yes the v7.1 is an amazing speedo, i wont be changinf mine for a while.

The comm is on the end-bell of your motor. It gets wear on it, so you clean it, and cut it, for maximum proformace, or in your case, to get the motor going. Some people just use an eraser to do this prosses heres a link to what you need to do: http://www.misbehavin-rc.com/pit-lan...intenance3.asp and dont forget your brushes.
