Once again, the above is a false statement, I would have to say that a hopped up clod like Jakjr's or a pimped emaxx or jugg or gecko like wickeds, would dominate all terrain over a little dinky pede...

Well, today I took a trip to the beach with my e-pede and my tricked out t-maxx. The t-maxx has a sirio .23 and is running paddles in the rear. The pede has the ss-5800 and is also running paddles.
The moral of the story is that the maxx did great on the dunes, but for the amount of money that's into it, the e-pede with the brushless kicked the maxx's butt in terms of fun.
The stampede in my book has got to be one of the best trucks out there. Go ahead, let the flame wars begin.
The stampede out of the box is extremely underpowered and leaves a lot to be desired. But, strap some power on that thing and some decent tires, add an aluminum idler gear, and be prepared to have some serious fun.
I'm in no hurry to sell the t-maxx, but the stampede with the brushless setup is a keeper!

Listen dude
If you want a car that is durable out of the box ,take the pede, but if you want a car that performs better out of the box it would be the RC18t. I have both and I personally would go for the pede.[8D]

the thing about the pede is that it doesn't require much to make it work well...new tires, new motor, new battery (possibly new esc) and ur set for as long as u want---with sumthin like an e maxx u gotta get an enforced stronger chassis...new tires-not exactly "required" , then TWO new motors to make it go a decent speed then a battery (or do they take two[:-]-well anyway the weight is rackin up) and then theres another list i can't remember....the pede is much more similar and has loads of parts in stock eveywhere. the people who don't pedes are people who haven't fully seen its potential for what ever reason-and alot of the people who don't like them r people who have never driven one and just pre judge it becuz it doesn't have 4wd and they think it doesn't deserve to be an mt and isn't one-but they r wrong.---all pede owners luv 'em

id go for the 18t.. thats probably the next thing im buying, that or a nitro truck.. but yea i have my xxx-s for the onroad, (it the bomb) and now i want something offroad, saying this because a brushless for it is alot cheaper, the batteries are smaller, so they charge faster and last longer... i just find that cool.

Something else you might want to consider...my local track runs 1/18 ST's with road tires on the indoor oval and road corse during the winter. Something to think about if your local track does that as well. I was going to get an RC18T...but I decide to just get a touring car (TB02) and an RC10T4 [sm=lol.gif]
