The 4tec is a good on-road "basher" not a racer

hi mad cat nitro,

Well, if you would like a good quality touring car, i would look at HPI, Team Associated or Xray. I have owned top tourers from all three companys, value for money the xray is a great candidate a car like athe TIRAYCER is an awsome touer that will handle brilliantly from the box, and because it is xray you get perfection in a box, parts are molded and cut beautifully. The associated tc3/4 is also a great car, some people think the car is behind in design but it is still a great Touring car. Then there is the hpi pro4, which i have competion raced for the last two years, i own the pro4 and the pro4 2005 edition, and out of all the touring cars i have owned it is by far my favourite, racing puts a lot of strain on a car which is were the pro4 shines, its built to last, its very tough. Its packed full of high quality features and comes in a nearly fully hoped up form, so you can race, or bash with it at a high level straight from the box. And you get a choice of three pro4s, you can have the hara edition pro4, the pro4 2005 (the jap version) or the pro4 whci hyou will be able to pick up for about if not less than a tc4, if you want to ask any questions i will try my best to help you out.

Tom

The 4tec hasnt seen a real race in... well... was it ever a comp. racer?[]

I own a pro4, its nice to have because you instantly have the advantage, its light weight and has all the parts that TC4 drivers upgrade in the box stock! As for brushless in a pro4, it reeaaaaly pushes because it has so much more torque than a brushed motor of that speed.

If your realy interested in racing I would look into a set up board like the new'ish integy one. It makes dialing in the pro4 (or any TC for that matter) much easyer.
