It looks nice despite what some members may believe or think about Tamiya. For those members I ask, have you ever seen the RCU Magazine Review on the Tamiya King Hauler Tractor Truck? The lights, sound effects, motorized support legs and other option parts really make the truck look real. Of course, the video helps too. Don't forget to turn up the volume.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=410

It was sort of funny the other day at one of the LHS to see a re-release of an RC with parts dated 1983.

i'm just not sure why tamiya always like making scale rc's-and i don't know why anyone would buy the hauler cuz it is just a long truck and all u can do is drive in circles-no jumping or anything

old school Tamiyas, from back when it was cool to just have a fun car/truck, were awesome. Tamiya will never beat a Losi or AE on the race scene, but then a Losi or AE will never have the coolness of an old Bruiser either.

I have been screaming and asking them for years, i call almost every week, asking for a bruiser re release, one will be coming out around next year so i cant wait,

just a small note, they are very poor performers with the leaf spring suspension, they flip very easily and are not very capable even know everyone that looks at one and thinks they know all about them, i drove one a few years ago, it was one that was in the middle of resoration, the trannies are very inefficent and when switching gear it makes a jolt and is wierd trying to control it, ive seen people taking leaves out of the springs and they perform better but not entirely better, some people use shocks and they are awesome,

ive got money stowed away, ive got almost 400.00 for when these babies hit the market, so i can guaruntee you guys i will have one the day it comes out,

Not this year, next year during the summer, they told me that the earleist it could be out would be next summer, i call almost every week for updates, they are idiots and do as little work as possible, by next year i should have around 1000 dollars for this thing, its gonna be very expensive, the orignal bruiser was more than 500 dollars 15 years ago

no i doubt it will be even 600.00, the reason they are so rare today is because nobody could buy them back then, im hoping the price is around 550 and i also hope they improve the transmission and suspension but they wont, all of their re releases are the exact as the orignal, the tamiya touareg is only inch longer but everything else is the same, the frog and grass hopped just changed the body a little and replaced one of the metal pieces with molded plastic

I bought a Mountaineer back when they first were released, and still have it. Everything said about them is true, it handles like poo and flips easily. BUT, they(hilux bruiser mountaineer blazer) do somthing no other RC truck has done. You have to judge them by their own catagory to be fair. It has been almost 10 years since they released the mountaineer which was almost 10 years after the Bruiser. It is about time and I will be first in line for one.

I'd love for Tamiya to make more re-releases of their cars. And as for Tamiya making so many scale R/C's? Well, Tamiya is the "Plastic Model Company" so its only true for them to use their skills in making static models and realistic looking R/C bodies. I'd love for Tamiya to make re releases of the Baja-King, Avante and the Vanquish!

Its awesome. I just bought a re-release of Tamiya's Hornet yesterday and am making it into a shelf queen.
