RE: Help
Yeah this is sort of one of those threads that is way to open ended.
From what I hear the Losi graphite is actualy stronger than the plastic, so I would convert it on over to graphite. If money truely isnt an object then go ahead and ditch the stock esc and pick up a desent brushless system. If money is a bit of an issue then I would pick up a reedy quad mag.

RE: Help
If you dont plan on racing... I guess, seems like a waste of a good xxx-t to "alcoa" it :-/
The xxx-t is a pretty strong truck, its not going to hit a tree at 40mph and keep going, but pretty darn close, unless your doing silly stuff with it, you should be fine.

RE: Help
Yeah, its better than the stock 15t becuase the stock 15t... stinks, usualy a 15t would be much faster, but not in this case. As for running in grass I have only driven a stock one in short short grass and it did "OK" not to great, but it got through it. Dont you guys have that southern grass, its different than the grass up here... Im sure it could go through the alabama type grass with ease.

RE: Help
EXACTLY!!!!! You are on the right track!! but i would stick with stock motor and stuff for like a month or whatever and go brushless from there. no need to buy an extra motor.

RE: Help
Touring cars in general are pretty darn durable. I've rolled my pro4 numerous times, i've run it into curbs going 40mph and realy havent broken much of any value, just a steering post here and there. I just chuck there strongness up to being designed well, and solid all around, nothing wobbels or even thinks about wobbeling in a TC (unless its a 4tec or spirit)

RE: Help
500$??
Man you could get a whole brushless system that will get you up to 70mph for that! More like 250-350$ for a pretty darn good brushless system. Email mike at rc-monster, he will point you in the right direction as far as brushless set ups.

RE: Help
News Flash! You cannot race sensorless brushless motors like RC-Monster sells (Feigao, Lehner, Hacker). The only approved brushless motor, for organized racing is the Novak. If you want to race, you are limited to the Novak.
The XXX-T RTR 2 is darn near perfect. There is ABSOLUTELY no need to upgrade ANYTHING. It has GREAT electronics, and GREAT radio, and a descent motor.
Just get the truck, and run it.
The only upgrade that an XXX-T needs is a brushless system. But you should get that later....
If you guys are so worried about upgrades, before you even have the truck, perhaps you should consider buiding a kit??????? Buy all the 'upgrades' the first time by selecting a good chassis, and the motor of your choice......
Buying an RTR, only to part it out is a bad decision. It will cost you more to do that!
