Default fryed speed control/ new motor suggestions/speed control suggestions

My motor is so powerful (i guess) it fryed my speedcontrol. My 10X2 orion was being driven for the third time on my TC4 and it fryed a novak gt7. Is this possible if so what speed control can handle this motor? Also This motor has ALOT of torque Im looking for another motor that can hit HIGH SPEEDS, dosent matter how long it takes I just want it to be able to beat a car ina race(metaphoricly speaking) not gona actualy race a car just want a top speed motor.

It wouldn't be the motor that fried the esc, the gt7 has no motor limit. As for the other question, if you want alot of speed, go with a brushless system, as it will require alot less maintenance than a low turn brushed motor.

some moisture probably got into the case... water damage not covered in warranty... The GTB has a water resistant case...
