Default Kyosho Optima Mid Hop-up Questions

Hello all!
I have a Kyosho Optima Mid electric belt driven four weel drive that I bought new in the 80's.
And for the last ten years or so it has mostly just been sitting. Once I got into nitro power, it just got pushed aside. But now it seems electric power has much more potential. I would love to put in a new motor, esc , and batteries and see what it can do!

I realy do not know where to start. Does anyone know what motors will fit?

Kevin

hi
you could test one of the novak brushless systems. it is difficult to say if the belt will hold up. i had a turbo optima mid myself. it is pretty solid. the main problem will be to get parts for this buggy. there are some in ebay auctions but aside of that i will be difficult.
so you might think about putting the mid in the showcase and buy a more actual model.
bye

I used to have an optima mid...back then I thought it was a pretty nice buggy. I dont think I have any of the parts anymore. You looking to rebuild one ? Too funny I seen this now. I am actually just rebuilding a Kyosho Pro-X. Alot of the parts (suspension anyway) are interchangeable with the nitro Kyosho Rampage Pro. I put the ST longarms on it. Thinking I will get it going and try it on a track. I have a couple Rampage Pro chassis.
