I have a xx-s and melted the wires to the motor. Now the motor only runs in reverse. Any help. Its a 19 turn trinity nervous breakdown with a novak sport esc. I did a direct link to the motor from the speed control and it still gets only one direction. How do you know if the speed controller is shot? Or if it is the motor?

2 ways install another motor u know works
or use a multimeter (volt reader ) hook to wires coming from esc turn on car pull trigger if u get voltage its the motor if its the esc u wont get any reading

first try reseting ur esc to it might just have messes up prpgraming
