I saw these pics at RCCrawler.. does anyone try this type of setup on their suspension? Moving the rear upper links from below to the top of the servo deck?

That's supposed to lessen the torque twist, but the downside is that the prop shaft will be at an angle instead of being straight, and more prone to getting caught up on the rocks. Never bothered to try it since the original poster who did that went back to the stock setup

But you can extend the links to get rotate the axle to compensate so the driveshaft angle is not affected, right?! I wonder how that would affect the handling...

Yes you can use longer upper links or put spacers on the stock upper links to compensate, but then all it does is change the angle of the upper links and not the angle of the axle, I'm guessing it would perform the same as the stock setup?

Different length of links (top vs. bottom) will result in different geometry when the suspension goes up and down.. but I don't know how that would affect the performance / handling..

I have my rear links on top of the servo tray although I used thinner spacers, probably about half that height.

It hasn't had any negative effect on the performance is all I can tell. I never really paid attention to how the rig worked before and then after

A bit late but came home half buzzed and saw my baby sitting there calling for some work. I added the LEDs, mounted painted the grill, side mirrors, front pseudo blinkers and the light bar on the roof. I have the rack and other scale items but I'm too tired to do any more tonight. I also painted my new shell for those of you who remember I have a chopped shell as well but plan on building finishing that as my shelfer. Here are some photos I took with my run of the mill digi-cam, I really need to invest in a DSLR but for the money I dump into that I could buy more kits. Lesson I learned from LB's crash course on asset management

It looks great!! Got any pics of the LED setup? You are using the Tamiya LED controller, right? You got brake light too? Or?
