Default E-Maxx Motors

I was down at the LHS today, and noticed they had Traxxas 12T Titan motors for sale. I have a stock generation 1 E-Maxx, can I throw those motors in with no problems? And would I get more run time, or less, dont know if the less turn a motor is more power hungry or not. at the moment I'm running 3000mah NiMH packs, and I wired in a 6v Rx pack to drive the servos, I get good run time, but I wanna try adn squeeze more out of it, if possible and with more power.

Thanks

Those motors will be faster, but it's always give and take. You aren't going to go faster AND get more runtime. You must choose....choose wisely.

Those motors will burn up quicker than you can say 'i just wasted more money on something from Traxxas'.

They are 12 turn 550s, the stock E-maxx titans are 21 turns. The Titan 12t motors burn up in normal 1/10th STs, let alone a 10lb monster.

Limit them to about 10 volts or so and have compareable power to the stock titans on 18 volts.
