I just cant see Traxxas making a competation 1/10 or maybe 1/18 to compete with Losi.

I can see the Traxxas one like a Duratrax one, but you never know. When the Slash 1st came out, everybody hated it, and now everybody likes and so do I (kinda)

Traxxas can't design anything new.

You're right. They can't design anything new.

Let's take a look at history!

Stampede/Rustler/Badit
Sledgehammer
SRT/TCB
T-maxx/E-maxx
Revo

Yup, never had an original thought on their drawing boards.

Im thinking 4wd slash with different chassis and tires and body. It will be like a 1/9 scale car and they will call it 1/10 (again) and I bet it wont climb any better than a Duratrax or Losi mini rock cralwer. For a 1/18 scale in the video it looked and crawled like a 1/10.

yeah, and they pretty much started the monster truck market with the t-maxx

there were some other mt's before, but the t-maxx really was the one that got things going

starting the monster truck trend is a pretty minor feat eh?

They started a trend. How many has Losi started?

The original T-Maxx progressed to the 2.5, which progressed to the 2.5r, which progressed to the 3.3, which progressed to the classic 3.3. Here we are years and years later and the only thing thats changed are the engines, wheels, and some other small stuff. We still have weak bulkheads.

Remember this? It seems most of the people who have a xxx-t cr and t4 say the xxx-t cr is better.

Who races AE 1/10 truck? Ryan Cavaleri, Ryan Mayifield, and of course Jared Tebo.

Who races Losi 1/10 truck? i dont know. And this is coming from a Losi fan!!!!!!

What im trying to say (and many other pople say this too) that Losi puts most of their money into a product and AE puts their money into their drivers. the only good driver Losi has is Adam Drake. Both Matt Francis and Brian Kinwald left. Todd Hedge is ok.

None. They followed the trends, always have. from 1/10 buggy, to 1/10 stadium truck, to 1/10 gas truck, to MT, to touring car.

Schumacher started the 4wd buggy deal.

And the Street Weapon? WOW what a terd. Yeah, let's put tiny arms on a 1/10 4wd buggy and call it a touring car. Capital idea! Good thing that heap made way for better cars.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a losi fan (owner of a SECOND XXXNT as of today), but you have to give credit where credit is due.

although losi did have a RTR brushless before traxxas,

losi's never sold in volume, and traxxas pushed tons onto the street

I don't think you can claim you started a trend if you just came up with the idea, and then someone different actually came along later and made your idea succesfull

I think, although they weren't first to market with it, you have to give RTR brushless credit to Traxxas as well

It would perform terribly if it used the Revo syle shocks I would think.

Losi took a different approach with their xxx-t brushless. They WERE commited to making race cars. This is less profitable than bashable cars like Traxxas.

Losi made mini's popular. Although their mini's now are junk, they started and HUGE trend.

Anybody want a mini-baja PM me.

It's probably a Revo with moabs and low gearing. Typicle Traxxas. I don't mind it. This way I don't have to worry about buying a new truck every week. That is why I am able to upgrade a xl-5 to a vxl and not get left behind. Either way, I reccomend you guys don't get your hopes up.

I dont know if any of you guys have noticed but the tread marks strongly resemble the new classic t-maxx tire treads...

either way, I don't think I want to buy a traxxas crawler if it's going to leave marks like that on my carpet
