Default stampede drive upgrades

are the jato half shafts, and street sport stub axles a direct fit on xl-5 stampede?

has anyone ever tried a custom stampede belt drive tranny?

The Jato drive shafts will fit if you slightly enlarge the hole in the yoke and stub axle. I run them on my VXL Stampede and they seem to be holding up. Just whatever you do, do not get the steel output yokes. They will not work with the Jato shafts and they wear faster than the plastic. Big waste of $20. I am unsure on the street sport stubs. Also, you can convert to the HPI dogbone setup too. I hear this is an excellent combo and requires only the stub axles, output yokes, and dog bones with no other modding.
