Default Mach-7 Fuel ?

Bought a case of 15% Mach-7 fuel. Never used this fuel before, but the price was right. $17.00 a gallon. Was paying $25.00 for Byron's 15%.

Says on the label is Castor/Synthetic oil blend. Is manufactured by Morgan Fuels. Just wondering if anyone else has used this and if is a good fuel choice.

Thanks

Cary

If you get 100 replies saying it is junk; can you take it back for a refund?

I read somewhere that Mach 7 has 18% Oil and is a 50-50 Castor-Synthetic Blend. If that is accurate, and meets the requirements of your engine, it should be as good as any other fuel.

No, I prolly wouldn't take it back since I bought it from an individual, not a business. Just like to know if anyone else has used it. I've used Byron's for 20 years with good success. Just wanted to hear a good report on this one.

Like you said, with 18% oil and 50/50 synthetic/castor blend, should be ok.

Maybe, I'll be the one that will give a report.

They don't sell Mach-7 anymore, wish they did, I ran this fuel for 4 years until they disconitued it and really liked it, It is made by Morgan fuels but for some reason it ran better than cool power or any of the other morgan fuels they sell now. I ran it in 4 strokes mostly.

Bunch of us just bought 80 gallons this spring and it seems like a pretty good fuel or at least I have not heard any complaints. I have used about 3 gal so far in both 2 and 4 strokes and it has run just fine.

Thanks Waco and Fredscz. That's what I wanted to hear.

I bought the case from a fellow modeler from Lawrenceville Il. (Southern Il.) who belongs to the Vincennes In. club.

Fredscz-From your profile, I see you belong to the Rend Lake RC club. I have flown at your field on several occassions. I too am in Southern Il.-Just north of Mount Vernon approx. 45 miles.

I'm using up the last of the Byron's and will try the Mach-7 then.

Thanks for your response.

Regards

Cary

Our club has bought Mach 7 for years from Morgan. The synthetic oil fuel is the same as Cool Power, and the castor/synthetic blend is the same as Omega. We buy 5, 10, and 15%, both blend and synthetic, and 30% heli. The only difference in the fuels from Cool Power or Omega is the color of the dye. The 30% is identical, even the color. Mach 7 is their "Club fuel", as Omega and Cool Power is only sold thru dealers. They have pretty good discounts for clubs, if you buy it in large lots. We buy about $2000 worth at a time. They don't make some of their specialty fuels in Mach 7, such as low smoke heli fuel, or the new low oil content fuel for YS 1.70s on ignition. I run the 30% heli exclusively in my YS.

Unlike what someone said above, Morgan still makes Mach 7. We just got a load of it about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks Jlon Lowe on the response. Glad to hear that Morgan Fuels still makes Mach-7.

IF Morgan still makes Mach-7 fuel please tell me why its not listed on their web site or any where else that I can find. If you have a web site post it.

Our club just calls them and orders it. Morgan's never really spent any advertising on it. The lack of a website really doesn't surprise me.

Talked to Morgan Fuel today. Mach 7 is the same fuel with a different color dye added. No other difference period.
