Default BLADE Scout CX - inflight control question

On Christmas my daughter gave me a cheap little 2ch RC heli. I had so much fun with it that I spent the $50 I got as another gift on the BLADE Scout CX (yes, I know it is only 3 ch and considered a toy, but hey - it was basically free!).

This thing is so darned much fun! I think I may be hooked and am now saving pennies for the MCX2. In the mean time I have an inflight control question; When left or right rudder ONLY is aplied, the bird will also track backwards. I don't get it because it hovers perfectly even when I put the transmitter on the desk.

Is this just something that I need to deal with until I get a 4ch or is there something wrong with the bird?

Thanks!

Ican't say this from experience with that particular heli...but...Ihave a mSR that is so lightweight that you have to give it some excelleration when you give any kind of forward or sideway inputs.....Ithink your heli is normal....just excellerate a little when you move out of a hover.

Thanks,

Playing with the controls while "spinning" is a tough task but I am learning to keep the backward drift at a minimum.

Anybody tried putting a more powerful batt in the scout?

You mean with higher /ma's? Would that give the bird more power, or a longer flight time, or both?

I would be willing to try it. Does the battery from the MCX2 fit in the Scout (same connecter)?

I don't know what the connector is on the mcx2 looks like. I do know that it is the same connector the my msr uses. it uses a 110 ma batt
