Default Jumpstart

Hi all. I bought a Syma S107 and a Syma S032 to see how Iliked RC helicopters. Its really fun and I want to jump in at deeper level. I have done some research and haave some specific questions that will jumpstart into this hobby. I tend to dive right into new things and can spend some buck if warrented.

1. What is the difference in the channel number in terms of function. 3 vs 3.5 vs 4 vs 6. I don't get what 3.5 channels means.

2. In terms of small cheap coaxial copters like the S107, how does a more expensive one like an E-flite differ. Do they fly better? More stable? More durable? more reliable?

3. Outdoors: I have read that the coaxial copters are not so good outside and I have certainly experienced that. They are very sensitive to any air current. How are the more advanced copters better outside? Since I have read the more adnaced copter are harder to fly, I am not sure I understand why they are better outdoors. I have limted indoor space so something that works well outdoors would be prefferable.

4. Brands: Leaping beyond Syma, what brands should I consider. I have seen the E-flies mentioned a lot. Should I consider other brands? It seems there are so many brands, I'd like 2 or 3 ofthe best to choose from and research.

5. I'm a big fan of online shopping. beyond Amazon, who are the big online RC helipcopter vendors. I can see how I'll want a vendor that has parts as well as copters and radios

6. I've noticed that both of my Symas tend to drift forward or backward, i.e. they have no front to back trim, just the rotational trim. Do the E-flite RTF's have front to back trim? If not then do any of the the controllers have front to back and other trims.

Thanks in advance for any help jumpstarting my venture into RC helicopters.
