Is it OK to connect remote glow negative to muffler ?
Instruction says that I need to connect negative side to part of engine. But, I could not find proper place in engine. So, I ended up connecting to muffler.
I think as far as muffler is physically connected to engine, it makes sense to me. There is no gasket between engine and muffler.
Did I do right thing ?

The connection is ok,,,the wire will get hot, might melt the insulation.
Next time, connect the wire to one of the 4 engine mounting bolts.

Never done it on a helicopter but have done on my plane with no problem. The glo plug draws a couple of amps max. Provided the wire u use isnt 10 feet long I don't think u will have a worry.
