Default Foxy Story

Just when I thought that things could not get any worse!

Nitro Charlie our club specialist decided to fly his Hannibal recently at a special club field event.
With a large two-stroke ex-lawn mower engine up front the Hannibal did indeed look formidable.
Lacking a proper pilot æNitroÆ had opted for a fun pilot made up from a large, plastic chickenÆs head and had added goggles for the finishing touches.
Duly loaded up with his much-debated 50% nitro blend, æNitroÆ fired up his monster and prepared for take off.

As the Hannibal began to accelerate a fox suddenly appeared from the dense undergrowth nearby and proceeded to attack the chicken pilot!
At that moment the Hannibal rotated and became airborne with the fox still gripping the chicken.
The fox, sensing danger, clawed away at the cockpit dislodging the pilot.

æNitroÆ, his mouth ajar, observed all this with a transfixed gaze unable to comprehend it all.
The fox, now firmly seated, assumed the role of pilot and proceeded at 20 knots in a westerly direction.

At that moment the engine did an æMDS,Æ and cut!

As the Hannibal went for an emergency landing in a distant field two women ramblers from the æold bats lodgeÆ happened to be passing by.
The HannibalÆs soft landing was, thankfully due to NitroÆs regained composure.

The fox, alighting from the plane, shot off across the field and disappeared into the thicket with the goggles caught on hits left ear.
The two women, now hysterical, ran screaming from the field to seek sanctuary at the nearby farmhouse.

The BMFA have been duly contacted and are now discussing the issue of a fox performing dangerous low flying manoeuvres without a pilots licence.
