Default Page 25

Yale,

Sorry, missed that one. The following is page 25, hope this is what you need.

Elevator throws are HIGH RATE 1.00 up and 1.00 down
LOW RATE .75 up and .75 down

Ailerons throws are HIGH RATE 3/8 up and down
LOW RATE 5/16 up and down

Rudder throws are HIGH RATE 3/8 to 1/2 Left and Right

The prototype has a two-position switch to operate the flaps. First position gives about 20 downward movements and second position moves the flaps fully downward to 50 Degrees. You will need to mix in down elevator with the flaps for a smooth transition.

CG – Set the CG of the model at 4.5 – 4.75 inch back from F3.

Flying AV8R

As you might expect ground handling and tracking is great with the AV8R. Make sure that the steering is not overly effective and you will have no problems during rollout.

The prototype weighs 12.5 pounds without fuel. With a RAM 500, the model needs about 100 feet of pavement or Grass to get airborne.

You can use 1st position flap (about 20 degrees) on take off, anymore is only increasing drag.

When properly trimmed, the model will exhibit no tendency to “leap” of the ground or be pitch sensitive.

Make a few laps to get used to the model and get it trimmed.

I want to thank you for choosing this model. I think you will enjoy it as much as I have. If you have any questions or technical problems I will be more than happy to assist you as best I can. I look forward to seeing you at the field. Good Luck.
