RE: Unique Jets
My scratch build is the F-94C Starfire from the 1955-1959. You can see construction pictures at my personal web: http://www.sidgates.us/HOBBIES/PROJECTS.HTM
I have been working on it for over 4 years. Currently installing wiring and airlines. The white primer will be replaced with Aero Foil after the test flights.

RE: Unique Jets
The F-94C was a new design originally called F-97. The F-94A and F-94B were a stretched out T-33. Congress cut off funding the the F-97 and since there was some money left in the F-94B project the F-97 was renumbered to F-94C and produced about 370.
My attraction to the "C" was I flew this model in USAF in 1956,57 and 58. At that time the F-94C, F-89 and F-86D were flown by most of the Air Defence squadrons in the US.

i built a sepecat jaguar a few years ago, flew nicely but with a bit a aileron wobble on a p80, which the ordinance seemed to dampen, (who needs gyros?). still got it, and thats the public service aspect of Ians thread here, i'm getting a hankering to get it out and spruce her up. thanks ianober, now i will have no time for chores!

RE: Unique Jets
Is a F16 also unique? This is my MLU B in progress, working on it for almost 3 years now. Scale 1/4.85 and every rivet and screw is there on the exact spot.

RE: Unique Jets
How about the Horten Ho229
Not anywhere near the standard of Peters F-16 masterpiece, but not an easy plane to get set up to fly. Now 3 years old.

RE: Unique Jets
Or a Dh 108 Swallow. This was made as the original was adapted from a Venom fuslage with a new rear and new wings so I guess it qualifies as scratch built! It flew well until a mid air ended it.

Ozzee, looks like you hit a nerve. Some really cool stuff on this board. Now if you can get the Jet Master crowed to join in. Show what there up too with tips how they do that incredible detail, art, magic...maybe black magic...wish in a hundred years I can build a jet they way they do.That would also be very interesting and on topic. Thanks to all for sharing, really enjoying this.
