Jet Cat P-120 min RPM questions
I have a P-120 in a Roo. I know there is a chart on the web site to turn down the max RPM for lighter airframes. My question is can I turn down the idle RPM?? If so is there a min value that this should be?? The problem is that I am using the brakes alot to taxi, and using my air up.
Thanks
Bill

Bill, the low idle rpm is 33,000. It really can't be set much lower because of the possibility of a flameout. This is the factory default setting for idle as well.
What aircraft do you have it mounted in? If it is real bad you might consider a smaller motor. I know you probably didn't want to here that, but that is about the only way to decrease your residual thrust.

A little TOE IN will help in reducing the roll. Also, you can tighten your wheels a bit, just make sure they are lubricated very well or they will heat up and seize!!!
