I've just gone to Philip Avonds web site and noticed that he's got a sale on this F16 'till the end of May. He quotes a price for the drag chute version with scale gear as Euro 2190 export price, but Euro 2630 in the US. If I price the basic components from the export price list, I get Euro 2368.60 and that seems like it would be the price to the US. In both cases shipping is extra.

Can anyone explain why the sale price to the US is higher than the basic export sale price, and also higher than the non-sale prices if bought as individual pieces. Does it include US duty, but if so, then I'd thought the non-sale prices would be higher as well.

I'm also torn between the Avonds F16 and the Yellow F15 as possible options for my next jet. I want it P80 compatible but I can't just decide on what to get. Too many choices out there.

The price is 2190 euro or 2630 dollars US. The euro is about $1.20 US so you got to do some conversion.

Flying jets in the US requires a rudder on the model according to the AMA rules.
The version sold to you guys , has this included in the kit.
Sold elsewhere you have to specify your intrest for the rudder, which in my opinion is just for showing off like flying knife-edge and son on.
Especially this particular model.
I would find it naturally, that the rudder version cost a bit moore than the other.
Btw, A outstanding model with enourmous capabilities.
