Default Any F-16XL kits out there?

Hi all. I was wondering if any has ever kitted the delta wing variant of the F-16, the F-16XL? That would really be an awesome model. Given it's unique aerodynamics, I can only fathom how this model would compare in speed and stall characteristics with an F-16C. Any input on this one ladies and gentlemen?

The only one I know of is a set of plans with templates for new wings to alter the Byron F-16. I don't see why they couldn't be resized for a BVM or yellow kit though.

the one mentioned was done by the late Ivan munninghoff in flying models. i believe the plans are still around for the wings through them. the real xl had an extra fuse section added just in front of the vertical stab so to get "real" scale with it would require some work.

A friend of mine has one. Based on the Byron 16. He made it with OS91 and Ramtech fan. Little underpowered but it fly´s ok. Will be great for 12lbs tubine.

Why not build the original double-delta aircraft instead, the Saab Draken. Awesome :-)

ABSOLUTELY!!! Personally though, i'm partial to the F-16XL. It's a hotter looking jet, especially if done large scale!!! One thing i've never really understood though, for i'm not too knowledgeable on Delta aircraft....what makes the Draken a double delta? What exactly is..a double delta? Makes me think of an aircraft with a delta wing and a large delta canard....but the Draken doesn't have canards? Anyone care to chime in here? Thanks!!

Ivan sent me a set of foam cores for the 16XL about a week before he passed away. Man he was always a pleasure to bug/ talk to. So, one of these days I will have to make and finish and XL. I need to get a byron F-16 Fuselage. Someone in Australia had been selling Epoxy version of it with full ducting, I was hoping to get one of those, but when the seller could not ship it to the U.S. for less than $300 (just for shipping he was quoting $500-$700) the cost was just too much.

The question is: Do any of you have a Byron F-16 fuse or kit you want to part with? Does anyone know where to get a Epoxy version of it?
