Meeting report. Rena/Norway.
This past weekend I attended a very friendly meeting in Rena/Norway. I took some pictures of some of the jets. Maybe someone else will post their pictures as well.

RE: Meeting report. Rena/Norway.
Hello, Stig!
It was very nice that you took the long trip up to us, so I finaly got to meet you!
As Stig said, the meeting was very friendly, and we were about 50 jet pilots there, including 5 or 6 from Sweden and 3 from Denmark. On Saturday, we all had dinner together....
On Saturday we had a bit of wind, but still there was a lot of flying made all day long. Only one plane was unlucky during the whole weekend, a HotSpot that would not recover from a inverted flat spin. The pilot tried to get it out of the spin with full throttle and later at idle but still no luck. Only damage to the plane was a broken fin, but sadly the P 120 sucked in some hard Norwegian rocks...[&o]
Pics:
#1 - 7 F-16's from Avonds, Aviation design and SpiderJets
#2 - Danish AD Rafale
#3 - Fancy modified Swedish Roo
#4 - Per Stømmen's Vampire
#5 - Gudmund Malones' extremly detailed Avonds F-16 - Won best model award

RE: Meeting report. Rena/Norway.
Thanks Stig, for those nice pictures.
I see you tried to catch my Five Jet in the last picture, but som other Danish dude put a large flaked Rafale in front of it!
Next time we have got to get all that large snow mowing equipment out of the hangar.., really cramped!

Hi Staale.
It was nice meeting with you. We had a fun time all along.
Is there a problem with the pictures in your post, or is it my computer. I can't see the pictures

#3: Rolf Oines twin SimJet 1200 powered Messerschmidt airborne.
#4: I'm waiting in line for some fast food. (In fact, I'm still waiting)

RE: Meeting report. Rena/Norway.
Thank you Stig and Staale for nice pictures from Rena.
As organizer I would like to thank all participants for safe and controlled flying during the meeting. No breeches of the safety rules were observed. This year all the aircraft were in excellent technical condition with excellent craftsmanship throughout. Only one crash (yours truly!) caused by an (intentional) rearward CG and a lack of pilot concentration.
For the record: Two prices were awarded;
Best Model to Gudmund Malones for his Avonds F-16.
Best Pilot shared between Per Morten and Per G. Strommen. Awards are given after a poll among the participants and spectators.
Gudmund has put a large number of hours into the finish of his F-16 and the model is really outstanding. holding top international standards.
The flying points were awarded, I think, to Per Morten for his consistent low (5 feet) knife-edge passes and precise maneuvres with his Roo, mine probably received for the near hover speed flight with the MIG-29. The old W. Kluhr fan model is a lot of fun with the single P-160 in it.
I counted 33 models in the photo lineup. Hope to see even more next year.
