Default Bobcat flies!!

Well,

Maiden today was a BIG success! Two clicks right on aileron, three clicks of down on elevator and she was rock solid. Put two flights in, landings were perfect. The Bobcat is one SWEEEEET flying plane... Few more flights and it's time for canopy and cockpit install, smoke system and paint work. Big thanks to all that shared their information and tips....

Time to get that Eurofighter on the building table

Todd

Default CONGRATS !!!!

Way to go Todd. Glad to see one of us having success. I'm happy for you.
Is that pink I see on your plane? No matter, I know it will look awesome when your done. Heck, it looks good now. You should be done with it by the time I come down, then I can really get a good look at her.

Take care, se ya soon,
George

Pink? Well, the can said florecent Red but I am color blind in one eye so I guess it could be pink . Wont be painting it for another month or so, waiting for it to cool down here a bit. Way to hot to be in the garage painting right now. Still have the cockpit, canopy and smoke system to install yet. Very pleased with the flight performance, much better than the roo...! Looking forward to getting together next month, talk to you soon bud...
Best Regards,
Todd

Keep flying it , need something to do while the Bobcat's charging . To tell you the truth, I still really like my Kangaroo! Although the Bobcat does handle better, you cant beat the kangaroo for an everyday flier, it has been maintainance free for 70+ flights since I bolted the Jetcat on it (except for greasing the wheels). I never thought it would last this long, over 200 flights on my first turbine plane, cant beat that! Now I cant wait to get the EuroSport done .

Todd,

I know somebody else who is blind in one eye, also flies jets, and designs jet kits on cad programs for somebody we all know. I asked him how he does with depth perception with only one good eye. This guy really specks em out for the (old) speed runs. He said you just get used to it. What do you think? Does it ever give you a hard time telling how far out or close in you are?

With 200 flights on your first turbine plane I guess not! The Bobcat looks great, keep em flying!

Scott,

I am only "Color Blind" in one eye, I can see out of both but only see color out of one. It can be weird at times but does not affect my flying too much. I see colors but they are faded from what you would see unless I close the bad eye to view things, although I have gotten good and just concentrating on the object with the good eye when trying to decipher colors. Cant imagine flying jets with vision in only one eye, the depth perception must be real difficult!
