Default ELECTRIC STARTER replaced SCUBA TANK

Why can we just install an electric starter motor then with a flip of a SWI to spin the turbine. I am tired of logging around the dam big scuba tank. I don't have a auto start on all my AMT USA turbine. It's probably wise to incorporate a speed controller witht this setup. Any ideas is very much appreciated

I imagine that wren starting wand would do great on alot of these engines.

Hi Eddie, I posted this on another thread a while back- I have been using a modified WREN wand to start a RAM 750 for a while now- Works smooth as silk. You must modify the WREN wand with a new motor though as the cheap speed300 one with the non replaceable brushes will melt on about the second start. (if you try and use it on anything over a 54mm turbine). Get a Permax 280bb motor to replace the speed 300. It has large replaceable brushes and bb's. You could also make your own wand easy enough with a chunk of metal and electric motor of your own choice, use a 7.2 car pack. Scott

Thanks Scott for the info. Q: 1. Does the motor has some kind of clutch ?. 2. Do you need a special socket that accept the compressor wheel nut ?.
