Default Scotlands JWM 2005 entry

Placed 33rd in the Individual class at the 2005 Jet World Masters

Here he is, Lindsay Dickie from Glasgow in Scotland, and sole Scottish entry to this years Jet World Masters, smilling after very successful pre-JWM test flights last weekend (24th July).

The flight location was at a RAF base in Scotland and the model flew just great.

The model is a Fiat G-91 and it is guided by JR radio and is powered by a RAM 750+ turbine (out of my BGC that is in storage while we get that house sorted.)

For some construction shots of the model, check out www.ekmfc.co.uk in the pictures section.

Best of Luck Lindsay from all of us to you and Douglas, Safe trip and enjoy the drive

Hi Dave,

Just back from visiting the out-laws at Carlisle for the last week - had I known Linds was testing his G-91, I'd have made it the extra few miles north for a look-see!

Good to see you keeping us abreast of JWM happenings...a group of us southerners are going to Hungary next Thursday so I'll see Linds and the rest of the UK & NI lads then!

Cheers,

Dick

PS...what happened to the rest of the Scottish Team? Last I heard, there was a complete entry?!

Dick,

I will tell u what happened here because Davie is embarrassed to say it on a public forum.

There WAS a team of 6 Scottish jet fliers ready to go to Hungary, with good models and a very large sponsorship deal, (which was available for the whole team).

But Lindsay threw out his dummy because his buddy - Davie (Irish/ English/Northern Ireland/ etc) was not selected for the Scottish team. Davie and Lindsay caused such a big stink about this, that Winnie butted in and told Bill Grimsley to take charge of the team. Bill in his usual way, immediately ripped up the team selection even after though there had been 2 open qualifying meetings for the places. He also discarded one of the Scottish team entries in favour of getting the Irish Davie in the Scottish team. Bill then phoned around the people he wanted in the team and ignored the others he did not want in the team. He even phoned Jockjet to offer him a place – Ian can’t even fly a model jet!!!

Two of the Scottish team immediately withdrew from the team in disgust, because this was unfair. (Ex chairman of the SAA was one of them). Two other Scottish jet fliers still wanted to fly in Hungary but the self appointed Team Manager – Bill – ignored them and left them out of all further communications.

Davie, who caused the main problems by insisting he should be given a place in the Scottish team and even had the IJMC bend the rules in his personal favour – didn’t even bother to go in the end. This after having a Scottish jet flyer thrown out of the team so Davie could get that place. Disgusting behaviour!

Davie had already been refused a place in the Northern Ireland team, so send them a horrible letter to air his displeasure.

Lindsay resigned from the IJMC because he was not getting his own way – Davie in the team. He also withdrew his position from the Scottish team and made comments about this World Masters competition, which were not very nice.

Lindsay, Davie and Bill have much to answer to. This whole situation stinks and certain individuals smell very bad. I know many people in Scotland, are totally disgusted by these people’s conduct and I am sure something will be done so this doesn’t happening again.

See u all in Hungary next week.
