Default RPM Sensor LED´s/TX?

Does anyone know which type of IR/LED and transistor are used on Orbit ECU RPM sensing? There are a multitude of types available (Emision and angle differences) but for sure you need a specific one.

Somehowe some of mine are not working anymore, maybe as a result of ultrasonic vibrations caused by the older bearings I use on the testbench?? It would cost me a fortune to buy everytime a new set while the bare LED/TX are in total less than a buck!!!

Many thanks,
Gerald

Thanks! Home creation from 1997 when I started building these hot can´s. Very handy to be able to measure all kinds of parameters when you made some minor mod´s on the turbine to see results. Working on JG100-like conversion but has lost some RPM sensors,

......anybody????

Many thanks,
Gerald

i belive most RPM sensors use phototransistors,
i dont know what one you need, but is should be a type
of phototransistor, try conrad or maplin electronics.

Tnx Volkan, tried Conrad but as I said there are several IR LED´s, IR RX LED´s and Phototransisor´s in LED shape. Don´t want to screw-up my Orbit controler (Where a new harnass is ofcourse cheaper than that!) but I figured some more people would have gone this route as they can be found on every corners electric store, usually at only 0,80 euro´s. Maybe I just buy a few and do some trials.

Regards,
Gerald
