I recently got a Graupner Whip attenna for my Kingcat, are you suppose to cut the attenna from the receiver to compensate for the whip attenna lenght?

Hi Yes I have used them and the instructions say to remove 370mm this should be the same as the Graupner whip aerial.

Hi Tony, thanks for the reply. According the instructions afetr you cut the receiver attenna the total lenght should be 370mm, which would be really short(370mm=14.5"). Am I just reading this incorrectly?

My Feedback: (1)

Most of the Graupner whips are not base loaded( no coil). Just measure the overall lenght of the of the Graupner whip and cut the same amount from your rx. Had one on my Kingcat and it worked great.

...or get a Deans or Revolution whip...the instructions tell you exactly where to make the cut...
