Default Speedbrake problems Harpoon

Hello.

I am building the Graupner Harpoon, but I have problems with the linkage to the speed brake. It seem that whatever I try to do it`s possible for me to move the speedbrake door fore and aft when tihe brake is fully deployed. Can anyone tell me if this is normal, of if it`s at fix to this problem?

Thanks

I've built two of these, (just finished building one for a friend) so the problem you're having is fresh in my mind because I had the same issues. I solved the issue by doing two things.....1) building a wooden frame on the inside of the speed brake to stiffen it up and more importantly 2)..I added a 3rd hinge in the middle and it absolutely solved the problem for good. (I assume your kit is the same as the Comp-ARF Rookies)

If you wish I can send a photo.....PM me required.

Good luck with it....Ron

Hi!

I don't understan excactly what you mean, but I just finished the speed brake on my Rookie II yesterday.
So if if you want, just give me a call tomorrow ( 90013131 ), and we'll sort it out[8D]

Who are you by the way...[sm=confused.gif]

this also strengthens the set-up and reduces slop or unwanted excess movement.
